    This study presents mechanical model teaching material designed to enhance comprehension of kicking movements, targeting primary education. This teaching material is crafted to replicate the soccer kicking motion taught in physical education lessons, incorporating simple mechanical elements that foster understanding of mechanisms and assembly of mechanical parts developed in technical education. Utilizing a microcontroller, this teaching materials employ a servo motor to strike a ball, measuring the resulting speed. By analyzing these speeds, the research suggests that such teaching aids can encourage children and students to reflect on the dynamics of kicking a ball.

    In order to develop human resources for the realization of Society 5.0, it is necessary for students to acquire the ability to solve problems that transcend the frameworks of subjects. For this purpose, cross-curricular learning is attracting attention. In this study, we examine teaching materials that connect the content of measurement and control in technology education with studies in science, health and physical education. A simple mechanism model teaching material is proposed to allow students to learn about ball operation through experiential learning by conducting motion experiments on a model that simulates the kicking motion.

    Policies are being promoted to realize Society 5.0, which is Japan's vision of the future society. As a part of AI education, there is a need to enhance programming education at the primary and secondary education levels. Many teaching materials for learning programming have been proposed. On the other hand, from the perspective of fostering student competency, it is important to use ICT to monitor their learning situation and provide them with individualized instruction and support. This paper explains a method for quantitatively evaluating the proficiency process of programming skills. First, the learning tasks of programming in technology education will be explained. Next, the method for obtaining the learning result data will be explained. Next, show the results of learning tasks that the students worked on. Finally, consider showing the results in a graph or trade-off curve to quantitatively evaluation the students' skill level.

    The “Future Investment Strategy 2018” presented by the Cabinet Office in 2018 states that there is an urgent need to develop human resources that can use Artificial Intelligence to achieve the goal of Society 5.0. As a part of this strategy, programming education at the primary/secondary level of education is being promoted. However, there are some issues in the quantitative evaluation of learning and teaching methods based on assessment. In this study, sensor car teaching materials were used to teach programming. Then, a new lesson is proposed to tune the optimal parameters by quantitative evaluation. The results of the university students practice of the proposed lesson are explained.

    The Society 5.0, advocated by the Japanese government in 2016, represents the society of the near future. In this context, the development and securing of human resources in mathematics, data science, and AI are urgent issues to promote technological innovation in the future. In this paper, a teaching material specializing in chassis of the vehicle performance in junior high school technology education was developed. The students manufactured their own teaching materials and evaluated them based on the data. The problems were identified and redesigned and remanufactured to solve them. The proposed class was practiced by students who were going to become teachers in a teacher training course, junior high school technology education. The results showed the educational effect of the material. In addition, a 13-h lesson plan that is the basis of The Lower Secondary School National Curriculum Standard was proposed. © 2021 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.     In Japan, it has been decided that programming education will be required in elementary schools from 2020. In the new study guidelines, new programming subjects will not be established, but programming will be handled within existing subjects such as mathematics and science. Therefore, it is desirable to conduct independent research by analyzing information with programming related to existing subjects. Based on the above, we developed a teaching material on temperature control programming that uses heat generated by heating wire in the unit of “Use of electricity” in the 6th-grade elementary school. In this paper, after considering the index of the control performance, teaching materials using temperature control are introduced.

    Control technology using the computer is one of the key technologies for improving energy efficiency. PWM control, which is a control technology for DC motors, is widely used as the basis of power electronics with the development of semiconductor devices. On the other hand, programming techniques are required to effectively use these techniques. In this paper, we propose teaching materials that can visualize the performance improvement by programming as the operating time performance index of the wind turbine.

    <p>In 2017, the government announced the course of study guidelines. It showed the necessary qualification and ability for junior high school students and guidance on junior high school technology education. Because new content is included there, training of incoming teachers at junior high school is required. This paper proposes a training curriculum on measurement and control of junior high school technology. This training was practiced for junior high school teachers in Ehime. These members showed high evaluation. This training will enhance educational practice for junior high school students.</p>

    <p>In Japan, programming education will be introduced in the Courses of Study for Elementary School from FY2020. Although various studies have been conducted on this topic, very few have examined Japanese elementary school computational thinking in terms of the developmental stages of elementary school children. Thus, we developed programming learning materials using concrete objects that can be understood by lower-elementary students. Specifically, we divided program-oriented thinking into three steps: concrete, logical, and abstract thinking; we then made the pupils carry out work in this order to encourage them to think of the sequence of actions necessary to implement the intended act, which involved the measurement and control of an illumination system. Furthermore, we discuss the validity of the proposed material based on questionnaire results of student participants and their parents of a workshop.</p>

    <p>It is difficult to make an evaluation based solely on whether programming has been achieved. However, appropriate evaluation according to the achievement level leads to learners' subjective programming learning, and to learning support that corresponds to individuals. Therefore, the quantitative evaluation of programming learning is as important as teaching and educational methods. Since programming education is being introduced to elementary and junior high schools, a programming evaluation method for this age is necessary. Therefore, this paper proposes a new concept of quantitatively evaluating the degree of achievement of tasks by programming. It assumes a unit in junior high school technology classes for learning measurement control, and uses teaching materials that have an autonomous cleaning robot as a theme. It is aimed at quantitatively evaluating the degree of accomplishment of a task by evaluating the extent to which the robot ran in a field, as seen in the room from a still picture taken multiple times.</p>

    In the new education guidelines to be implemented from 2020,the programming education is introduced from the elementary school stage. The programming education at elementary schools is aimed at nurturing "Computational Thinking". So, we develop teaching materials using "Measurements and Controls via Programmings" to promote the computational thinking for elementary school students. And we held a workshop using the Learning materials. In this paper, we propose the learning materials and learning contents, moreover consider the utility of learning materials and learning contents from survey of the workshop.

    In the junior high school learning guideline (technology education) since FY2012, there is "D-(3) Automatic measurements and controls via computer programs" in "Technology of information processing" and it is compulsory. In this study, the following developments were made and evaluated on the contents of "measurement and control" instructed in junior high school technology education. (1) Learning contents and goals of measurement and control, and (2) Development of teaching materials such as illumination light and sensor car.     <p>In April 2011, "information technology vision of education" which is a measure for the information of the education to 2020 year were summarized. For this reason, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology were the business in cooperation. In this report, improvement of teaching using ICT are mentioned. In junior high school technical education, a mechanism for processing the structure and material of tools and equipment, it is necessary to education that is based on scientific evidence. Therefore, the thrust force and torque by a gimlet are measured using an instrument intended to be quantitatively evaluated, including a process.</p>
