    In this study, to describes about significance and process of creating “hazard map with agricultural information”. Recently, hazard maps are attracting attention due to it is increase natural disasters, however, it does not take into account information related to agriculture. Therefore, we tried to creating hazard map based on a new concept in case of Yura area, Gogoshima Island in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. We emphasized the famerʼs knowledge and experience in the presses. In this study, three surveys were conducted in relation to the development of the agricultural version of the hazard map at Yura area, Gogoshima Island. The purpose of the first survey was to gather information on map making. A pre-map was developed based on the results of the first survey. The second survey used the pre-map to confirm the first survey and to add new information. In the second survey, new information was added, such as the condition of the landslide farmland and place names. The first and second surveys were conducted in a workshop format. The third survey involved reviewing the “The hazard map with agricultural information version Mar. 2020”. We then discussed how to use the maps and where to store them, but this discussion was initiated voluntarily by the farmers. The creation of the map not only fosters residentsʼ awareness of future disaster prevention and mitigation, but also serves as a model for rural communities that are resilient to disasters and can be restored and reconstructed at an early stage, and the hazard maps we created will be used in the future for inheritance of knowledge and at new disasters.

    <p>We conducted a social experiment to clarify the possibility of diffusion of natural enemy utilization technology by calling attention to hidden needs. Specifically, we prepared an opportunity to observe natural enemies and the technology demonstration at a farmer's field for change agents and farmers. This approach aimed to improve awareness and generate interest in natural enemies. As a result, for change agents, technology transmission was promoted. For farmers, interest in natural enemies improved, and the intention to introduce this technology rose. Conversely, for change agents, the change in the promotion behavior of this technology and network with a researcher were restrictive.</p>

    <p>This study examines the current conditions and challenges in the development of extension officers using questionnaires and interview surveys administered to Agricultural Innovation Support Senior Technical Managers. The study was conducted to propose a direction for the future development of extension officers. On-the-job and off-the-job training are commonly carried out as human resource development activities for grooming extension officers. Management for preparing the system of such activities, however, does not necessarily function properly. We, therefore, performed comprehensive assessments based on principal component analysis, using the conditions of the implementation and evaluation of human resource development activities and its management as the study variables. The results demonstrated that improving comprehensive measures linking human resource development activities and management can help achieve successful human resource development.</p>

    &lt;p&gt;In this study, we interviewed people who introduced the &quot;Ukiraku&quot; method of cultivation to clarify the introduction factors for this method. We observed that people staying in the neighborhood tend to promote the introduction of technology. However, restraining factors of green vegetable cultivation using this technology need to considered. First is the management policy. Second, items for cultivation are limited in number. Third, cultivating green vegetables requires sales channels and extensive preparations for harvest. Compared with the similar kind of technology used in paddy rice seedling cultivation in pooled nursery, the cost of equipment is higher when using the Ukiraku method. However, the fact that land leveling and watering works can be reduced and the user&#039;s re-invention of this method can promote Ukiraku.&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;Commuter farming can be defined as farming managed by farmers who do not live in the rural area near the farmland and thus must commute from a more urbanized area. The aims of this study were to examine the potential of commuter farming and to clarify its effects on promoting regional agricultural production infrastructure in a citrus production island area in Japan. The questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews had been conducted on 14 farmers, who are the overall sample of commuter farming in that area. The main conclusions of this study can be summarized as follows. (1) There are several advantages of commuter farming over traditional farming. For example, commuter farmers can enjoy more conveniences in daily life, a better educational environment for their children, greater opportunity to communicate with other farmers during the commute, a more reasonable balance between work and personal life, and fewer conflicts with family members. (2) These advantages can encourage more children from farm households to become carrier farmers and set up their own households in their home towns. (3) The advantages can also make the regional agricultural production infrastructure more stable by increasing the number of farmers and by bringing abandoned land back into production. (4) To encourage commuter farming, some types of public assistance may be needed, such as subsidies for commuting expenses in the short run and for maintaining local infrastructure in the long run.&lt;/p&gt;

    <p>This study examines the medical and welfare effects of agricultural activities in helping NEET return to normal social life. We paid special attention to the psychological effects by applying POMS (Profile of Mood States) to our evaluation. The main results are as follows : First, the negative feelings of POMS were relieved after the agricultural activities. Second, no improvement was found in sleeping or eating habits during most of the experimental period. Third, as an important result of this study, based on the agricultural practice, the experimental subject has regained his confidence for returning to social life and gotten a new job.</p>

    本研究は，新規参入者の受け入れ体制が充実している公社やＪＡ運営型等の 就農研修機関への在籍経験者について，定住した新規参入者，研修や就農をリタイヤした新規参入者別に，１）リタイヤした新規参入者の特性と離農要因、並びに支援内容に対する評価，２）定住 した新規参入者の特性、並びに支援内容に対する評価，３）受け入れ側における人選方法の問題点摘出と審査基準の策定を解明することにある。
    本年度は，主に公社運営型の就農研修機関において，研修修了後定住した新規参入者の特性や当該地の選択理由等を明らかにした。前者について，これら新規参入者の特性は，リタイヤした新規参入者に比べて，出身地や男女比率には差がないものの，研修時年齢が３４．９歳（リタイヤした新規参入者２９．１歳）とやや高いこと，高校卒業割合が２７．３％（同５２．９％），大学卒業者割合が５０．０％（同３５．３％）と高学歴であること，研修時の既婚率が４５．５％（同１７．６％）と高いことを明らかにした。したがって，研修の採用時にはこれらのことに留意する必要があるものと考えられた。
    後者の当該地の選択理由は ，収入確保ができる主要な農産物があること，図書館やスーパーマーケット等最低限の生活の利便性が確保されていること，生活面や営農面での新規参入支援が充実していること，両親や祖父母の出身地，本人に過去生活経験があることなど当該地域と何らかのつながりがあることを明らかにした。
