The purpose of this study was to develop and implement a community learning program to cultivate children's "public sensibility," and to clarify its educational effects, based on a review of existing theories in the fields of education and developmental psychology regarding the way of relationship building between children and others. As a result, it was found that children can develop their public sensibility by encountering "Local people and nature" through walking around town and expressing what they learned and felt by making illustrated books and models with "Familiar others" who support the children's activities. In addition, the educational effects of the three activities of the program on children's public sensibility differed from each other, which could be grasped by the differences in the way the children interacted with familiar others and town.

Local governments are promoting "residency close to parents" in which child-rearing households move closer to their parents' homes in order to promote population retention in regions. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of living near parents、 not only in the division of home services、 but also on the time perspective、 on family functions、 as well as on the intention to reside in the area. A nationwide questionnaire survey was conducted via the Internet、 through which data on 300 people was obtained. As a result、 it became clear that、 the shorter the time distance between a child-rearing household and the parents' household、 the more daily interactions and physical services took place. In addition、 a covariant structure analysis showed that living nearby increased interactions with the parent household and enhanced family functions. In addition、 it was confirmed that an increase in family functions had the effect of increasing the time perspective and the intention to reside in the area、 suggesting an increase in the happiness of the child-rearing household.

This study aims to identify the actual situation of disaster prevention in accommodation facilities and previous thinking and actions in dealing with disasters. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting accommodation facilities in Ehime Prefecture regarding the response to the heavy rain in July 2018. Survey items were set using the frameworks of social learning theory. As a result, it became clear that the higher the result expectation for support during a disaster and higher the sense of self-efficacy, the more respondents tended to have high intentional support actions. Also, facilities that took responsive actions during a disaster was more likely to have higher result expectation and the sense of self-efficacy, which showed that track records of support activities increased the intentions to take supportive actions. Further, facilities that participated in resident activities around the facility were more likely to respond to a disaster. Therefore, the results suggested that increasing social capital was effective in taking action during an emergency.

Since the Great Hanshin earthquake, disaster volunteers have received increasing attention. Specifically, importance is placed on disaster volunteer efforts by university students. Thus, in this study we aimed to understand the actual situation in terms of disaster volunteer actions among Ehime University students during the floods of July 2018, and to clarify the relationship between university students' disaster volunteer efforts and sense of self efficacy. Survey results revealed that activities in daily university life have an effect on the basic skills of working adults, and are also linked to changes in disaster volunteer mobilization through a sense of self efficacy and awareness of one's importance. This suggests that creating and supporting an environment in which students can devote themselves to extracurricular activities such as clubs, along with regular university activities, is linked to university students' increased participation in disaster volunteer actions when future disasters occur.

In this study, the following was revealed on the public rental housing complex (PRHC) in Osaka Prefecture. 1. The number of the PRHC that doesn't meet the criteria installation rate of parking, 2. The number of the PRHC with a surplus in the parking lot, 3. As a result, 87.3% of the PRHC that were built in 1965-1974 doesn't meet the installation criteria, and in addition, there is a surplus of parking lot on 90.0% of them. When the municipality applied the criteria of the current situation to redevelopment of the PRHC that doesn't meet the criteria despite the surplus of parking lot, the wasted space would be generated. Therefore the current parking installation criteria must be revised by placing the guidance for the redevelopment, to not generate a useless space.

Parking lots in the housing complex in suburbs built in the high-growth period has been expanded with increase of the number of private cars owned by the household. On the housing complex management, it is necessary to consider the need for further expansion.
On the other hand, in the housing complex built between 1965 and 1974, the need for redevelopment is growing. However these housing complexes are not able to be rebuilt cause of the disagreement of households or the financial problems. On the redevelopment by utilizing stock, it is necessary to plan according to future demand of private cars.
In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted as the target households living in Otokoyama housing complex where is in Kyoto Yawata. The purpose of this study are as follows, 1. the actual conditions of use of parking lots and holding of owned car are revealed, 2. the status of the change of ownership are revealed from the household's intention. Based on the results, 3. the demand of parking lots in redevelopment is considered, 4. the parking lots issues and the concept for making a plan are considered.
From the results of the questionnaire survey, the following became clear. 1. 70.9% was private car ownership rate in the condominium housing complex (Condominium). 56.7% was rate in the rental housing complex (Rental). 2. In the young couple households and the households with underage children, the ownership rate was high. 3. In the Condominium, many households rent the parking lots on the outside of site. 4. In the Rental, ownership rate was higher than introduced rate, however there was not luck of parking lots because of vacant houses.
From the results of the questionnaire survey to intention of the owned car, the following became clear. 1. The ownership rate in the Condominium is reduced to 67.8% in the future contrary to past trends. 2. The ownership rate in Rental is raised to 58.4%.
Based on the results, "Needed number of parking lots" in redevelopment was estimated. In the Condominium, it is 957 units from the current ownership rate and 915 units from the future, therefor there is 4.4% reduction. In the Rental it is 2,609 units from current and 2,688 units from the future therefor there is 3.0% increase.
The parking lots issues redevelopment without rebuilding was considered as follows. 1. The ownership rate in the future was under the rate of average in Kyoto prefecture or Yawata city. Therefore the parking plan of the redevelopment should be considered based on the status of holdings in households. 2. There is shift of number of parking lots in the future demand. Therefore the parking plan should be support their trend.
The concept of planning in redevelopment was as follows. In the parking plan, it is necessary to be considered to ensure parking lots on the outside of housing complex as the area management for parking lots, and to plan parking lots that it is easy to divert from parking lots to the other common space or reverse.

The purpose of the present study is to develop a new measure of participatory and circular "community memory map" in order to develop civic pride and to examine its effect. The proposed measure is aimed at retrieving people's memories associated with regional experience and also at making these memories shared among all the people. We conducted an experiment applying this measure into Mendori Town at Shikoku-chuo City, where we asked residents to describe their memories associated with regional forests "Sao-no-mori" on a "community memory map." The result showed that residents' pride in the town and attachment to the forests were promoted through making and sharing the map. Furthermore, it was found that the difference in such pride and attachment between new and old residents was reduced through the process.

This study extends the relevancy theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson, considering that the essence of public governance in which various players participate lies in "communication. I focused on the intermediary organization as the entity that plays the role of forming a new interpretive frame (meta-frame) for the effective functioning of communication. This study introduced the concept of "meta-frames" to formally represent communication mechanisms in which mediators are present. The "Matsuyama Urban Design Center" in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, was the subject of the study, and the existence of meta-frames was discussed.
